Well we all made it back safe and sound from our trip to Albuquerque. All 10 of us had an awesome time.
Sunday at 2:30pm we started off the team event with a 204, and thought wow, maybe I can really shoot a 600 out here...... Then came the reality check, and I went 152, then 158, for a 514 series. Well at least it was over 500. I think I was about 4th best out of our 10 guys for the team event.
On Monday at 11:40am we started Doubles, it was 3rd shift on the pattern. I went 147 for 1st game (my low of the tournament), then went 222 (my high of the tourney), and then 181. A little more respectable, ending with a 550 series.
We then moved a pair to the right for the singles, where I went 174, 165, 165, ending with a 504 series.
Over all not too bad, I did shoot a little better than last year (1542), with a 1568 total, averaging 174, to last years 171. I thought that playing on the PBA Experience patterns would have prepared me better for what to expect, but it didn't quite work out that way. I did make a major mental error on targetting, and setting up on the approach for the first 3 1/2 games, probably costing me at least 30 pins - maybe I would've shot 1600! Thats my goal for next year - maybe even 1620, to avg. 180. We allready have our entry fees in for Vegas...baby!
In the mean time it's practice, practice, practice, keep working on the sport shots.

Hey Marshall! I'm just going to be practicing as much as I can this summer, trying to get my game back after all these years. If all goes well I'll be looking at joining a league in the fall.
DaveBefore this year, the last time I picked up a bowling ball was at your house. My band was playing in the lounge. Nice place!
Hey, do you know why they closed Country Lanes? That was my house (I lived in Hyde Park at the time).
